Welcome to our new Sr.Vice Commander and Membership Chairman Vern Leighton. Vern is
looking to restore our membership to 100% and would appreciate your help. Remember our
strength is in our numbers. When the American Legion with over 2.3 million members speaks
Congress listens. Help us help our fellow Veterans by paying your dues and signing up a
friend or relative. The American Legion sponsors the Children’s Miracle Network,
Scholarships, Junior & Senior Oratorical Contest, Boys State & Boys Nation, Boy Scouts &
Cub Scouts, Shooters Sport program and American Legion Baseball just to name a few of our
youth programs.  We support a full time staff in Washington D.C.that keeps on top of all bills
affecting Veterans as well as every state which has a full time Dept. Service Officer to assist
with claims and emergencies.

Finally I extend a personal invitation to each member to come to our general meeting held the
3rd Tuesday of each month September through June at 7:00pm.
